1. What is SMARTQUEUE™?
      
   
        
SMARTQUEUE™ is an Integrated Multimedia Queue Management System.

2. What is a Queue Management System?
         A Queue Management System otherwise known as ticketing system organises queues by allowing customers to              obtain a ticket and wait in a waiting area. Queue Management System eliminates all the lengthy queues and                   boring waits

3. How does SMARTQUEUE™ work?

First, customer selects a desired service from the ticketing kiosk. The ticketing kiosk issues a ticket including their specific number and selected service and puts them automatically in queues. Afterwards, the customer is directed to the waiting area while viewing multimedia display for their ticket number to be called. Finally, the customer service officer alerts the customer to proceed to the counter using a virtual keypad installed in their PC and announced on the Multimedia Display.
4. How can SMARTQUEUE™ help me to improve customer satisfaction?
SMARTQUEUE™ controls flow management by reducing customer waiting time whilst providing customers entertainment, information and marketing promotions through the multimedia display whilst waiting to be called. By pre-determining customer needs and selected services, customer service officers can reduce their serving time. And with a wide range of reports including Key Performance Indicators (KPI), branch management can monitor and improve their staff performance for a better customer satisfaction.
5. I've seen many queue management system, what differs SMARTQUEUE™ from other products?
Many conventional queuing systems require Hardware Proprietary. In other words, the system is dependent on hardware provided by other queue management systems to function. SMARTQUEUE™ is hardware independent. SMARTQUEUE™ utilise existing hardware and networking infrastructures for minimising costs. In addition, SMARTQUEUE™ is not just an ordinary queuing system, it is an entertainment system capable of displaying a wide range of multimedia formats (from TV to flash advertisements) through multimedia display. However, the key strength of SMARTQUEUE™ lies in its ability to produce a wide range of reports including staff performance, branch performance, and Key Performance Index (KPI) reports for an improved company performance.
6. Can BSS modify the solutions according to our needs?
Most of our solutions i.e. SMART QUEUE, include built-in parameterisation module. This means that interfaces, texts, colours, fonts and many others can be altered to suit the organisation’s corporate profile. We develope our software and solutions independently (in-house), which makes greater flexibilities to cater for any enhancements or modifications when requested.
7. Can BSS provide SMARTQUEUE™ solutions outside Australia?

8. As a branch manager, I am very concerned about our staff performance, what can SMARTQUEUE™ do to assist me?
SMARTQUEUE™ Reporting Function can produce a wide range of detailed reports such as staff performance, branch performance and KPI. Reports can be accessed from branch level or centrally from the head office. With centralised reporting function, top level managements can compare branch performances head to head based on region, market, and even nationwide.
9. Can SMARTQUEUE™ integrate with my front-end applications?
BSS is highly experienced in system integrations. We can integrate SMARTQUEUE™ with your front-end applications to improve your performance.
10. It sounds very complex, I suppose SMARTQUEUE™ is very expensive.
The way we price SMARTQUEUE™ is based on your requirements. Pricings can be adjusted accordingly to suit your needs for cost effective solutions.
11. What are the minimum hardware requirements for SMARTQUEUE™ software?
Ticket Dispenser / Information Kiosks
  • Kiosk
  • Thermal printer
  • Touch Screen LCD Monitor 15" or 17"
  • PC Controller using Industrial PC (recommended)
  • Speaker

Multimedia Information Display

  • CRT TV, LCD / Plasma TV or Monitor
Other Hardware
  • Speaker (can use separate speaker or existing users' speaker)
  • Display Booster; which is necessary to ensure a non-lagging display with a 30 up to more 250 meter distance from the source (Multimedia Display PC).
  • Splitter (optional); used to display the same content on more than one LCD/Plasma screen.
  • Additional PC Display equipped with high resolution video card and 2 video output OR using 2 or more additional PCs (optional): used to display different content or information on more than one LCD/Plasma screen.
PC Display (Minimum Requirements)
  • Intel™ Pentium IV 3,0 GHz, Memory 2x 512 MB, HDD 20 GB 7200 RPM, CD ROM, VGA Card 256 MB
  • Database server – MySQL™ 4.1 or SQL Server or other third party database system (need further clarifications)
  • O/S – Microsoft Windows XP, 2000 Professional™/Server
Clients (generally, using the existing PCs)
  • Hardware - PC Compatibles.
  • Memory – Follows client OS recommended.
  • OS – Microsoft Windows 95, 98, XP or LINUX Client or DOS.

13. Can BSS provide me with 24x7 support across Australia?
We have a range of after sales service agreements that can be adjusted according to your needs including 24x7 support.
14. Can BSS provide me a turnkey system which includes all the hardware required?
BSS mainly focus in providing and developing solutions, however we are able to provide you a turnkey system if you want; or give you some recommendation on hardware and installation.
15. Does BSS provide user guide training for SMARTQUEUE™?
Apart from manuals, we can provide system training or train the trainer method to help you utilise SMARTQUEUE™ to its maximum capability.
